Located close to shopping and dining options in the city center, this hotel offers comfortable rooms with clean linens and functional amenities. The staff was friendly and responsive to requests, providing prompt assistance with any issues that arose during our stay.
The hotel's WiFi signal was weak and unreliable, making it difficult to stay connected while in our room. some of the rooms were on the smaller side, which felt a bit cramped at times.

Great location and friendly staff. the hotel was in close proximity to the city center and public transportation. the staff provided excellent service and were courteous and accommodating. the hotel offered free Wi-Fi and parking which was an added bonus. Best aspects: the hotel was decorated festively for Christmas and had a warm and cozy atmosphere. the breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of options to choose from. It was clear that effort was put into making the guests feel comfortable and at home.
The rooms were in need of some attention to detail. Some fixtures were worn out or not functioning properly.

African Lodge Bloemfontein display four stars under their name. This is unfortunately very misleading as there is nothing four star about it! The attention to detail has been lacking and you get the feeling they have just "thrown" these rooms together. It is mentioned on the website that all the rooms have Plasma TV'S. The room I stayed in did not and neither did the room of a colleague. My normal tv stood on the counter in the kitchenette. I could not see the tv from my bed and I virtually had to lay on the floor next to the bed to watch it! The photographs on their website are stunning and its such a pity that in reality its not what you see.

I felt that the hotel was not a 4 star rating. I was disappointed with the size of our room and bathroom. It certainly looked far nicer on the internet than in reality. I would have thought there would be a hair dryer and electric blanket with a four star rating. Overall I was disappointed. Was certainly not a deluxe room!

The best part was the comfort. We were only there for 1 night, but it was really worth it.

There was nothing we liked about the Lodge. We cancelled the booking after we entered the room and realized that is is not on standard.
We were very dissappointed and cancelled the booking after we walked into the room. This Lodge is not on 4 star standard.

Great hospitality, very accommodating, friendly and helpfull staff. Thanks for the great breakfast on a last minute booking. Warm atmosphere and decor. We were even phoned while on the road due to a very chilly Bloemfontein and were asked at what time the staff should prepare the elctrical blanket for warm-up. Very good location directly opp the University of the Free-State we never needed to use our vehicle as we only had to cross the road. Very safe parking.

Bedding; Gate access; Family & Self-Catering room; Rates; Pool access;
Breakfasts is not buffet as promised, serving same menu daily, breakfast plate empty with no variety. Breakfast service is slow, waiting long to be served. Bath & Shower Hot water runs out. Junior staff not well trained & equiped to deal with visitors' enquiries. Towels not sufficient in the rooms. Rooms floor is cold. No sufficient African Decor as displayed on the website. No enough sofas to sit in the rooms, can only sit on bed to watch TV.

great african ambience; roooratedm waqs very neat and well dec
i stayed in the family room - the bathroom door is thin and has a huge gap at the bottom hence limiting your privacy (especially if there are other people with you.
